Latvala Leads Fiesta Podium Sweep at Wales Rally GB

Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team's Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila won Wales Rally Great Britain as Fiesta RS World Rally Cars powered to a 1-2-3 finish on the final round of the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile World Rally Championship. The Finns claimed their fifth world rally victory, and their first since July last year, as the Fiesta RS WRC took eight of the top nine places in the demanding four-day event. Ford Wins NHRA Manufacturer's Title With Mustang Power

Ford earned its first NHRA Manufacturer's Cup since 1982 and its fourth ever behind the efforts of wins, runner-ups and No. 1 qualifiers in Funny Car, Pro Stock, Super Stock and Stock Eliminator categories. This win marks the second major Manufacturer's award earned by Ford’s iconic Mustang model in 2011. The first, the NASCAR Nationwide Series Manufacturer's Championship, was clinched two weeks ago. Ford Racing 363 Crate Engine Powers Shelby to Texas Rally Win

Classic Motorsports publisher Tim Suddard scored a class win in the Texas 1000 Classic Car Rallye driving a Ford Racing-powered original Shelby GT350. Suddard's 1968 lime green Shelby is powered by one of Ford Racing's new 363 crate engines, part # M-6007-Z363RT. "We took a one-week-old crate engine and ran the heck out of it for four days at speeds up to and over 100 mph and had no issues," said Suddard. Look for this car to be displayed in the Ford Racing booth at the Performance Racing Industry show in Orlando in a couple weeks.

Pat puts together the annual "Legends Havin' Fun" show and, with her husband Merv, runs a resto shop, Classic Creations of Central Florida while also serving as the driving force behind the Imperial Mustangs of Polk County, an MCA-affiliated regional club.

The Mustang Club of America Announces its 2012 'MCA Nationals" Events Calendar

Of the hundreds of regional Mustang car shows held all across the country each year, the Mustang Club of America selects only five as "MCA National" shows – and only ONE of those five as the year's "Grand National" show. These are the big, memorable officially judged shows that Mustang lovers will gladly travel long distances to attend – and even plan their family vacations around! Well, we've got word on which shows the MCA has selected as their "Nationals" events for 2012 – so get your calendars out.

The four 2012 MCA Nationals are: The Gulf Coast Mustang National in Pensacola, FL, March 23-25, hosted by the Gulf Coast Regional Mustang Club; The Mustang Showdown at the Red Rock Corral in St. George, UT, April 26-29, hosted by the Northern Utah Mustang Owners Association;The Golden Gate Mustang National in Concord, CA, June 22-24, hosted by the Diablo Valley Mustang Association; and the Ocean State Mustang Nationals in Warwick, RI, July 20-22, hosted by the Mustang Car Club of New England. The 2012 MCA Grand National is the OK Corral in Mustang, OK, Aug. 31-Sept. 2, hosted by the Oklahoma Mustang Club. Check the club sites for more info.
